July 2008 Old Tyme Country Faire

Even in the rain, the Olde Tyme Country Faire was well attended by fair-goers on Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20th. Created by the Sodus Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Great Sodus Bay Association, this year's faire offered lots of fun for families. Kids enjoyed the free balloons, jumping in the Bounce House, Boxing in the "Bouncy Boxing Ring," getting their face painted, and winning prizes at the "Potty Toss" and Duck Pond.

Besides all the colorful and unique items for sale, there were funnel cakes, fried dough, kettle corn, french fries at the fairgrounds, and special fair menus at Hot's Point, Papa Joe's, Captain Jack's, Cowboy 37, and Abe's Waterfront.
